We had a great time with our speech teacher, Ms B making slime. While making the slime, we discussed what we have learned in science this week about solids, liquids and gases as well as practiced our speech goals.

We are off to a wonderful new school year! We have started working on academics and I am so proud of the students.  Our kindergartners are working on alphabet sounds and counting to 20. Our first graders are working on words with short vowels and adding and subtracting within 10. Our second graders are working on words with long vowels and blends and adding and subtracting within 100.

All groups are working on their guided reading books which will come home each Monday. Please read this book nightly with your child, as well as the sight word cards that come with it. In math, we are all working on writing our numbers, number words and place value.

This week in science and social studies we are working on goods and services, producers and consumers as well as talking about careers.

Please note that Wednesday is an early release day. Dismissal starts at 12:20. ASP will run as usual. Please let me know if you ever need anything or have any questions!
