  Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! I am excited to get back into the routine Monday. I will be at a training on Thursday, so there will be a substitute and Ms. Meredith in the room that day.
  This week kindergartners will be learning about and writing the letter G. First and second graders will be learning and spelling words will be words with short vowel i. Homework for the letter G and for the short vowel words will be sent home Monday and packets are to be completed by Thursday.
We will also continue learning about parts of a story, characters, setting and beginning, middle, and end. This will help us with comprehend what is read to us.
  In math , we will continue practicing counting to 100 and writing our numbers with correct formation. In kindergarten, we will begin looking at graphs and learning about more than, less than and equal to. Our first and second graders are doing well on beginning addition skills! we will continue working on this skill this week as well as place value, understanding in a two digit numbers there are tens and ones.

Hello! Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Tuesday, November 7.
Our kindergartners will continue working on letter of the week and the letter this week is R. Our first and second graders are working with words with short vowel sound "o". We will still have our spelling test on Friday.  We are also starting our "thankful" unit where we will talk, learn and write about all the things we are thankful for as well as learning about the Thanksgiving holiday.

In math , we will continue practicing counting to 100 and writing our numbers with correct formation. I hope you can make our Thanksgiving Day lunch at school. Our scheduled date and time is: Wednesday November 15 at 10:40-11:25. I will be sending home a reservation card for you to sign and send back. This is always such a wonderful day of all of families eating and visiting together. The lunch costs $3.50 and is always delicious!
